“Aperture”-The photography club of Symbiosis Center for Management Studies, NOIDA organized an online photography competition for the students of SCMS NOIDA on the occasion of 74th Independence Day of India. The theme of the competition was “WHAT FREEDOM MEANS TO YOU” and eighteen students submitted their participation for the same. The main objective of the club behind organizing an online photography competition was to develop interest of photography between students and to help them in improving their vision and skills.
The participants provided their best shots and the club decided to send the entries to Aaditya Rai, an alumnus of SCMS NOIDA 2017-20 batch who had agreed to judge the competition. The college is always connected to their Alumnus through the Alumni Cell and ensures that they are doing good in their lives. Further, the Alumni also contribute for several events and have been partners in the growth journey of their alma mater.
Aaditya being the part of Symbiosis family understands the core values and he also proved himself by setting bars for Photography club under his headship in his college days. He is an excellent photographer and thus the club approached him to judge the competition. The names of the entries were not disclosed to eliminate any biasness. After doing a detailed judgment, on the basis of different judgment criteria such as Adherence to theme, Composition, Clarity of Expression, Visual Appeal, Level of Detail, Technical Expression and Originality making it a total of 30 points, participant Prajjwal Singh from second year (Batch: 2019-22) managed to score the highest (27 points) among all and won the first prize. Vaani Juneja (26 points) and Viniyanshika Singh (23 points) from Third Year (Batch: 2018-21) won second and third prize, respectively.
